Our Practice
We are located in downtown Valparaiso, Indiana and have been servicing the community since 2013. Our patients know that this is a family affair! We have the privilege of caring for multiple generations of family members and want each person that walks through our doors to feel comfortable in the knowledge that they will receive the highest level of care. We offer a full scope of services, including routine, medical, and emergency eye care, and utilize the newest technology equipment to diagnose and treat visual and eye health conditions. Dr. Grove is a board certified optometrist. She grew up in northwest Indiana and graduated Valedictorian from Merrillville High School. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Science cum laude from Butler University, then completed a 4 year graduate program to earn her Doctorate of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry. Dr. Grove completed residency training in ocular disease at the Boston Veterans Affairs Hospital, West Roxbury campus. She currently holds appointment as adjunct clinical faculty at the Illinois College of Optometry, helping to train the next generation of optometrists. Dr. Grove is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optomery and a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry. She loves providing full scope optometric care, and especially enjoys challenging ocular disease cases. She and her family reside in Valparaiso.
Dr Tsagris, a Northwest Indiana native, graduated from Chesterton High School. After majoring in Health Science at Purdue University, she went on to complete her Doctor of Optometry degree at Indiana University School of Optometry, graduating with high honors. While at IU, she completed a three month clinical rotation in Mexico and helped set up an optical lab to serve the community in Guanajuato, Mexico. Dr. Tsagris practices general optometry and especially loves difficult contact lens fittings and managing dry eye. Outside the clinic, she loves to travel, read, do yoga, and spend time with her family. She and her family live in Valparaiso.
Dr Johnson grew up in Northwest Indiana and graduated from Lake Central High School. She completed her undergraduate education at Indiana University Northwest, then earned her Doctorate of Optometry from the Indiana School of Optometry in 2010. In 2018, Dr. Johnson completed her fellowship with the Optometrists in Vision Development and Rehabilitation Association. She was awarded the Young Optometrist of the Year in the State of Indiana in 2020. Dr. Johnson specializes in pediatric eye care, binocular vision and accommodative disorders, and visual processing disorders. She resides in Dyer with her husband Ryan and her daughter Josie. She loves being outdoors, spending time with family, puzzles, and dancing!
