Comprehensive Eye Exams
Comprehensive eye exams involve a full assessment of your visual functioning and eye health. We use state of the art technology to determine your refractive error and assess whether or not glasses or contacts will serve your visual needs. Beyond that, we do a thorough eye health examination to make sure there are no problems that could affect your vision or overall systemic health.
How often should you get your eyes examined?
The American Academy of Optometry recommends adults age 18 – 64 have a comprehensive eye exam at least every 2 years, or more frequently if indicated. Adults age 65 and older should have exams at least annually, or more frequently if indicated.
Children should have an eye exam at least once between the ages of 6 and 12 months, and again between the ages of 3 and 5. Children between the ages of 6 and 18 should have exams annually.
